Doodle Jump 4.5/5

Doodle Jump 99 cents on the app store

Graphics 4/5

Gameplay 4.5/5

Replayability 4.5/5

When i reviewed Pocket God the main problem i spoke about was the Ooga Jump mini game, based off this game. Let me tell you that Doodle Jump is a thousand times better than Ooga Jump. This is because you can shoot monsters! And you can tell which blocks are breakable! And tCheck Spellinghere is an awesome Jet Pack! As you can see, this game is infinitely better than Ooga Jump, but there are still some issues. One is that if you're an islander from pocket god (Easter Egg) it's impossible to get a jet pack. Also, when you kill enemies, there is no animation, they just simply disappear. This game has built in high scores so while jumping you can see how high you have got and other people on the scoreboard. This is a great pick-up and play game if you have 5 minutes for a quick game, but due to its lack of game modes, it gets boring if you play a lot at once. However, it is a lot easier to play than Ooga Jump because it is a lot more forgiving and the gameplay is infinitely better. Overall, a very good app for kids or if you have lots of little 5 minute intervals when you like to just play a quick game. If you like Ooga jump you'll love Doodle Jump and even if you don't, you should still try out this game. Also, don't think "Oh I have pocket god so I don't need doodle jump". If you like casual games, I definitely reccomend Doodle Jump.

Flight Control 5/5

99 cents on the app store

Graphics 4.5/5

Gameplay 5/5

User Interface 5/5

Replayability 5/5

Overall 5/5

Flight control is a strategy game where you draw lines to land planes on runways. Sounds simple, yes, but in reality it can be very challenging and fun. There are three types of runways. Jets, small planes, and helicopters. There are three maps which are on normal airport, one island airport which is very similar but with water planes instead of small planes, and a naval aircraft carrier. The aircraft carrier is the most difficult by far, as the runways are smaller and the planes are faster. There is great replayability, as this game is downright addictive. And since all you have do do is draw lines, this game takes a minute to learn but a lifetime to master. One of my favorite features is that you can play with a friend over bluetooth, even without an internet connection. Also, you can fast forward so you can get right into the madness without having to spend a lot of time for the first 15 planes which are generally really easy. Overall a great buy at 99 cents and highly recommended.

How to get Emoji for FREE (Without jailbreaking)

So, I bet when you're looking at the top 25 in the paid app store you see an Emoji app (currently 8 and 52) and think "That looks pretty cool but is it worth a dollar?". Well the answer is NO!! because there is a perfectly good, legal, approved way to do it for free. You see, Emoji is hidden on all iPhones and iPod Touches except in Japan. What the paid apps do is sort of "find" or "unlock" the Emoji keyboard which is a special Japanese keyboard with pictures ranging from an alien to a smiling bowel movement. I will show you the simple way to get real Emoji for FREE!! (there are some lite ones with limited pictures-this IS NOT what I am talking about) Thats right! ALL 461 characters for FREE! Its simple. First dowload Spell Number. Next launch the app and type in 91929394.59. Then press the home button and close the app. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > International Keyboards >Japanese > Slide and turn Emoji ON. Then when you want to use Emoji just press the little globe at the bottom, to the left of the spacebar. There are many different categories and to go back to your usual keyboard just press the globe again! Simple as that. You just saved 99 cents. Reward yourself and go to Wendys and get a Double Stack. Any questions? Just comment or email me at samtheappreviewer@gmail.com.

Review of Fieldrunners 4/5

Graphics 4/5
Replayability 4.5/5
User Ineterface 4.5/5
Gameplay 4/5
Overall 4.5/5
$2.99

Fieldrunners is a great tower defense game with good graphics and a lot of replayability. The point of Feildrunners is to strategically build towers that kill the soldiers before they can get across the map. A simple enough idea, but Fieldrunners has multiple game modes and maps so you wont get bored. Despite this, I got bored trying to repeat the first map on a different game mode, even though they were similar. The gameplay is to select towers and put them places. It works well, and you can zoom in, but sometimes it can be hard to put a tower in a corner or on an edge. The user interface is good with no problems, but nothing special. Overall this is a very good app and definitely recommended for tower defense fans, but if your not into that, or low on cash, you might want to save your money for something else.

Review of Asphalt 4: Elite Racing 5/5

.99 Cents
Graphics 5/5

Gameplay 5/5

User interface 4.5/5

Replayability 5/5

Overall 5/5

This game is great and at 99 cents is a MUST BUY. The graphics are great, from the Ferrari's exhaust to the Eiffel Tower of Paris. Also, when you take down another car it has a cool cam and also has a cam from a news copter. with extremely detailed cars and backgrounds, better than most D.S. games. The gameplay is also great, there are three ways to play, with a virtual steering wheel, tap to turn, and accelerometer. All are great and you can even play the game in portrait or landscape mode. The replayability is wonderful with 5 types of races in many cities and cars and you can tune your cars with over 50 different parts. The User interface is very good, however, sometimes you might start a race by accident and the tuning menu takes a while to get used to. All in all, a wonderful racing app for the iPhone, a steal at 99 cents

Review of Sega Columns Deluxe 2/5

$1.99

Graphics 3/5

Gameplay 2/5

User Interface 1/5

Replayability 1.5/5

Overall 2/5

I got Sega Columns Deluxe while it was free but now that its $1.99 i definitely do not recommend it. The graphics are ok but not terrible, but there were major issues with the gameplay and user interface. The gameplay was impossible with the default, accelerometer on and even with it turned off it still isn't that fun. The user interface is just terrible. when you try to choose a different option it just doesn't work. You have to slide it but there are no slide animations and it is extremely confusing. There is very low replayability as there is no career. And after 1 or 2 five minute games against the CPU, you will get bored. Overall, this app is not recommended at 2 bucks or any price.

Review of Pocket God Episode 22: Ooga Jump 5/5

99 Cents

Graphics 5/5

Re-playability 5/5

Gameplay 4.5/5

User Interface 5/5
Overall 5/5

Ah Pocket God, one of the most popular paid apps ever. I highly recommend it at 99 cents as its always fun to torture the little islanders, and with recent updates is getting better and better. The graphics and sound are great and the new minigame is a great new feature and the future updates should feature more minigames. However, the game got boring after 20 minutes, but the new minigame and constant updates make you come back and play more. I also had a couple problems with the new minigame Ooga Jump, which is in collaboration with and very similar to the popular game, Doodle Jump. The Ooga Jump gameplay isn't as smooth and its also very hard to tell if a cloud is wispy that will disappear if you try to land on it. Despite this, Pocket God is a great time killer and a great app to entertain kids.
